A natural St. Lucian treasure, blended with its past, present and future all in one natural and authentic stop. Less than fifteen minutes drive from the Capital Castries, into an interactive local tour at the Anthony’s Farm and living residence at Morne-Du-Don/ Balata. All your senses awakens as you’re guided back in time through a traditional house, as inhabited by our ancestors and fore fathers. Less than a minute walk away, you’re toured into a tropical forest and bird sanctuary, home for about 27 bird species. Along this natural 200 meter of trail you are invited to smell spice leaves, see tropical birds and listen to the forest breathe. You can savor a stress free moment at one of the bench stops or just relax at the Hammock House embraced by the coolness of “mother nature”. Several stops along the forest trail will educate you on many of our native and exotic trees found in St Lucia including their uses. As you exit the forest, you move along the Garden Trail, for a personal experience of ginger, cocoa, cinnamon, mango and cashew nuts. Included will be the sampling of some of our seasonal fruits like golden apple, mango, graver, carambola and coconuts, to name a few of over 134 plant species that surrounds you on your journey. Learn more from your guide at your various stops, about our customs and herbal medicines, charcoal making, bee keeping, cassava making and the likes. The family farm house is a must stop, as some of the wooden structure dates over 100 years old. With over 130 signs along the trail, the education never stops as you see, hear smell and taste “Lushan Country Life” all in one magical experience.
